Wizard Festival

Wizard 2009

Wizard Festival

Wizard Festival Information

Wizard enters its third year in 2009 and we are aiming for the stars with lots of great music and arena acts.
Billed as a “magical” little festival we are based in the Aberdeenshire countryside, just 30 miles from the city of Aberdeen.

The exact location of the festival is the New Deer Showground, New Deer Aberdeenshire. You can see pictures of New Deer with our New Deer webcam.

Dates for 2009 are August 28 and 29th. We have moved to the August bank holiday to make it easier for our festival goers to arrange time off….and have some extra time to recuperate from all the fun.

Wizard Festival

We are an award winning festival–we won the Evening Express Tourism Award-voted by readers of the newspaper because the festival generated an estimated £250,000 extra revenue to the region over the weekend it was held.

Last year we doubled in size attracting 4000 people over the two days.

Our main acts his year include: The Charlatans, The Beat, Levellers, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, The Buzzcocks and Idlewild.

Music genres are mixed and this year our second stage will showcase some of the best local and national DJ talent. The Japanese Popstars and Streetlife DJ’s are scheduled to appear.

Wizard Festival

We pride ourselves on being a family friendly event. Everyone from babies to grandparents is welcome at Wizard –and that includes everyone in between!

Kids that are aged 12 and under go free and camping and car parking are absolutely FREE

Weekend tickets are £70 and Saturday passes are £45. Please check our website for ticket vendors and our long list of local outlets too!

Campsites are in a wonderful setting and car parking is a five minute walk (if that) across a cordoned off road.

There is quiet/family camping located at the rear of the site.
