Aimed at private individuals, professionals and those involved in landscape conservation and enhancement projects, this two day course will impart basic skills and provide hands on training in the techniques involved in building Drystone Walls.
The course will be led by George Gunn, an award winning master Drystone Waller, who has been a professional member of the Drystone Walling Association since 1983 and is a fully qualified advanced instructor and examiner. Sandwich lunches, as well as tea/coffee will be provided.
LOCATION: Scottish Traditional Skills Centre at The National Trust for Scotland’s Fyvie Castle, Aberdeenshire. You can see pictures of Fyvie Castle in our local gallery.
CERTIFICATION: Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
DATES: Thursday 9th & Friday 10th July 2009, 9.30 am – 4.30 pm
Those attending will be required to wear stout footwear and outdoor clothing. Boilersuits, hard hats, safety goggles & gloves can be provided.
COURSE FEE: £175 per delegate inclusive (no VAT will be charged)
